She won’t call you. You have to call her.
She won’t come talk to you, you should go talk to her.
She’s not going to let you act stupid and pretend she likes it.
You should just be around her. When you’re with a group of friends,
she isn’t going to run into your arms no matter how much she wants to.
You need to come up behind her and wrap your arms around her and let her friends get jealous.
She loves you more than you can imagine, no matter how much she doesn’t show it.
But you boy, you need to show her how much you love her so
she isn’t afraid to show it back.

A photograph never grows old. You and I change, people change all through the months and years, but a photograph always remains the same. How nice to look at a photograph of mother or father taken many years ago. You see them as you remember them. But as people live on, they change completely. That is why I think a photograph can be kind.

The thing is you make me happy. You walked in when it seemed like the rest of the world walked out. You were there. You are there. I never need to pretend when I’m around you, when I’m talking to you, when I’m with you. You’re hilarious; you make me laugh, like, all the time. You seem to pick up that something’s wrong before anyone else does. And you know exactly what to say to make it all okay, and even if it’s only for a little while, it helps.

I’ve been making a list of the things they don’t teach you at school. They don’t teach you how to love somebody. They don’t teach you how to be famous. They don’t teach you how to be rich or how to be poor. They don’t teach you how to walk away from someone you don’t love any longer. They don’t teach you how to know what’s going on in someone else’s mind. They don’t teach you what to say to someone who’s dying. They don’t teach you anything worth knowing.
